Our concepts are backed by exceptional creative.
1975
HDI's first and very small office was in Northfield, Illinois. Right out of The University of Illinois and influenced by the Japanese traditional art of Shodo (the way of calligraphy), the HDI identity was created. We created identity programs for small businesses. Our first big client was Keeshin Charter Service. Paul Keeshin and Bill are still good friends today.
1978
We grew and moved to a multi-story corporate office in Northbrook, Illinois.
Business was looking up as we moved to the second floor! The influence of manufacturing accounts lead to our strong "hd" logo.
1985
In 1982, HDI moved to the Playboy Building on Michigan Avenue. Ah, the big city! The view looking north along the lakefront is still in our memory banks. We added financial clients and wanted our name to be the logo. In 1985, we made the change.
1990
HDI moved to 333 Michigan Avenue. We delivered strategic marketing and advertising so, we dropped the word design from our logo and began the red sphere mark in the HDI brand.
2000
In 1995, we moved back to Northbrook. Five years later, we re-designed our identity. The HDI sphere became digitized and promoted the electronics of our industry. In 2007, Hans Design moved to an office/warehouse in Buffalo Grove where we enjoy the creative atmosphere and open space. Just like the buffalo.
